Dr. Craig Springer, a 40-year veteran of the professional performing arts industry, became President of Irvine Barclay Theatre on January 1, 2024, after serving as its Executive Vice President since April 2021. Springer previously served eight years as President & CEO of the Santa Barbara Performing Arts Center and nearly nine years as the Theatre Executive Director of the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts. He also has experience in higher education, having spent eight years as Assistant Dean of Cultural Arts and Activities at the University of Southern California and nine years as Managing Director of Pick-Staiger Concert Hall at Northwestern University, where he earned his BA, MA, and PhD degrees.
