CEO/Executive Director Experience
Heather Kwak joined World Relief SoCal in the summer of 2012 as a volunteer, welcoming refugees to Orange County. Since than she served as a Department of Justice- accredited legal practitioner and then Program Manager for the Immigration Legal Services department for 6 years before assuming the role of Executive Director in 2021. Prior to World Relief, she was with the International Rescue Committee in New York resettling refugees and finishing her master’s in international relations from Seton Hall University. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of California, Irvine.
